Phatra Asset Management Company Limited

Phatra Asset Management Company Limited is a fund management company under the capital market arm of Kiatnakin Phatra Financial Group.

Phatra Asset Management was founded on 23 January 2004 as Siam City Asset Management Company Limited and wholly owned by Siam City Bank Public Company Limited before the Government Pension Fund acquired it in 2010. On 30 May 2011, Kiatnakin Bank Public Company Limited which viewed fund management business as complementary to its banking and high-net-worth client service business acquired 60 percent of the company and changed the name to Kiatnakin Fund Management Company Limited.

After the merger between Kiatnakin Bank Public Company Limited and Phatra Capital Public Company Limited which formed Kiatnakin Phatra Financial Group, Kiatnakin Bank bought shares from the Government Pension Fund and held 99.99 percent of shares in Kiatnakin Fund Management on 28 September 2012. Kiatnakin Bank then transferred all of its stake to Phatra Capital which oversees Kiatnakin Phatra Financial Group’s capital market business, and renamed the company as Phatra Asset Management Company Limited on 1 August 2013.
